What does the B.O.S.S. in B.O.S.S. Consulting stand for?
After 30 years working in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, B.O.S.S. Consulting Founder Terry Doloughty decided it was time to branch out on his own. He wanted to do more for business owners and nonprofit leaders than he was able to achieve in the foundation world.
So, he took a month off. He spent some time reassessing his priorities and goals, he worked on projects around the house, and then it all clicked into place -- he wanted to help other people be their own boss.
Since Terry comes from a background in nonprofits, he knew he wanted the name to be an acronym. He thought about what he wanted to help his clients accomplish: running their organization more efficiently, helping them create systems that ensure their success, and providing them with support along their journey.
And just like that, B.O.S.S. Consulting was born.
